In the context of international purchases of industrial equipment, the Apave Group uses its global network to respond to requests for inspection on behalf of customers or for inspection by a third party in order to ensure that products have been quality-controlled during the manufacturing process in accordance with customer requirements.

We provide an inspection service as a third party or on behalf of customers for pressure maintenance equipment, mechanical equipment such as pressure vessels, boilers, heat exchangers, tanks, pumps, compressors, blowers, valves, etc. within the framework of European and French regulations for all imported products, in particular with specifications for the ITER project.

A fusion reactor is an advanced future technology reactor which produces electrical power by fusing together light atoms, such as hydrogen, at extremely high pressures and temperatures.
ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) is the world's largest fusion experiment project, with the engagement of many countries. The fusion experiment facility, currently under construction in France, aims to build and operate the fusion reactor, experimental device manufactured by member countries including Japan.

 

These devices are governed by French regulations. Apave is granted a number of accreditations from French Ministries to carry out the technical inspections and controls related to the French regulations. Apave has been providing a wide range of technical services for ITER projects in France and also in other ITER member countries.

 

For manufactured equipment, Apave can provide the consultancy in the application of French regulations such as RCC-MR, RCC-MRX, and certifies welding procedure and welder qualification.
